I went to Esther's Place for the weaving class today. Oh my, if you are ever in northern Illinois let me know and I will get you the information on this wonderful fiber arts studio in Big Rock, Illinois. I was there all day and Natasha, our instructor, made my classmates and I a wonderful lunch of grilled cheese with tomato and basil and homemade cole slaw.
Here it the start of the scarf that I am weaving. I used a hand dyed wool yarn in beautiful shades of sage, brown, blue, and tan.
I am looking forward to using some of the sheets that I cleaned out of the linen closet (stained, worn, crunchy elastic LOL!) and making a rag table runner with them. Maybe Ill move on to rugs eventually with a bigger loom, who knows?!
