My Living Room

I was going through pictures the other day and realized that when I gave a tour of my home a while back that I had forgotten to show you all my living room so here goes...

Don't mind the paperwork on the floor.  I usually just have old books
on top of the desks and then I have the bag that I got in the dity bag swap
from Valerie at Yorkie's Prims hanging from the seat.  Valerie put the name of my grade school on the bag and it is perfect for right there!
Old spinning wheel and yard reeler (I am sure that is not the proper name) from an auction a couple of years ago.  There is a place not to far from my house that offers a spinning class...maybe someday!
A cabinet that I made from an old crate and some scrap wood.
I think this is my favorite thing in the room lol!
This is an old painting from an auction (same as the spinning wheel),
on the back is hand written in pencil "1913 Xmas to: Ida".
The sconces are a thrift store find.
Flip down desk, electric "oil" lamp, and print are all from the spinning wheel auction
(needless to say I had a lot of fun that day...poor Jene lol!)
Old quilt from the prim shop in town ($22-, had to have it!)
on a blanket ladder that was my mom's

Hope you all enjoyed the tour!

We had another ducky day here today so when I went down to get everyone in of course they were happy as pigs in mud...or should I say ducks in in mud, same difference!  No snuggling tonight!

I have been nursing a couple of wings on poor little Marly.  Ruger has decided that he is in love with her and is a bit ruff so he has clawed up both of her wings pretty badly.  Every morning and evening I am putting my home made Gardner's Salve on the raw spots and it seems to be helping it heal.

Hope you all have a wonderful evening!

May God bless you richly,
Kendra

  3. Nice pictures Kendra. Thanks for sharing. Our chickens do not share your duckies' love of the mud...except if it means there are worms around. It's been much too cold lately anyway, but they aren't real fond of walking in the snow either.

What a wonderfully creative person you were to make that crate into a wall cupboard...no wonder it's a favorite.
