Update From Last Post

Getting the rescues!

Just got a reply from the gal with the rescue ducks, she will even drive them to me because she lives close to the city and this small town girl does not "do" traffic!  I offered to meet her half way which is coincidentally the limit to my journies.

Here is their picture (the one is not very photogetic it appears-my clan will have to work on that with it lol!).

And here is their story, LOVE IT!!!

We had these two ducks since they were babies.
We found then scared and lonley in our backyard, we didnt have to heart to just leave them out in the cold so we took them in and fed them.
After having them in our house for a couple of weeks we let them go but they kept coming back.
We would like to find a home for them but we have not had any luck in finding them a good home.

If you love to nuture animals and you have a good area for them to run around on then they will be good for you.

This is so neat because I have been looking for several months now in different places online for a situation like this because my preference is a rescue situation.  The Lord works in mysterious ways...even for ducks and crazy duck ladies!

Hope this helps you come up with some more name ideas (I even thought about calling my niece to see what my great nieces, almost 2 and 4, thought of for names).

I'll keep you all informed and thank you!

For Him...all for Him,
Kendra

  2. Kendra, you are a peach, what a wonderful story and what a great ending now that they will be safe and sound at The Stone House! Hmmmm, names, let's see; Pekin ducks are white so how about Snow and Blizzard, you can call Blizzard 'Blizz' for short :O) We've had so much snow here that I can't think of any other 'white' related names that aren't associated with snow! Can't wait to see them safely in their new pond, bless you my friend <3 Deb

  3. Oh that is so neat...what is the town they are coming from? Would that work for a name? I like Elmer as a duck name, not sure why just like it! LOL
