I have been wanting a new light for our front hallway since we bought our house in 2001 (secretly hoping that the existing one would get broke when ever we were moving things in and out the front door!). I finally decided what I wanted about a year ago and have been waiting for the right time to get it. The other day I went into The Geneva Country Store to see if they had the light in yet (they had the smaller version the last three times I was in, but not the one I wanted) and I saw one in the display window from the parking lot!
Of course before I started carrying a light around with me I decided I best go check out the sale room and guess what was there? "My" light on clearance!!!

It was darn cold here today in Northern Illinois! I opened the door for the ducks at about 11- and by 3- this is all the farther anyone had gotten:
Neiva laying by the door.
The days prior have been warmer so there was a lot of mud. Duck lesson #527: white ducks do not stay white if they don't have to.
I apologize for not keeping up with my blog as I had hoped to in the new year...usual excuses: wrestling, working on a rental...
J had a great day of competition on Saturday coming home with a third place. After two different matches where he was down by 6 and 7 points he managed to turn his opponent and pin him earning the nickname Possum from a coach from Jene and my home town. I think it is going to stick...Possum lol!
I hope you all have a blessed week!
PS I have been trying to get Tammy's old giveaway off of
here but the computer or something will not let me!!!
