Meet Neiva and Elodie

After the initial email from the gal with the rescues I never heard another word so I called the gentleman with the farm ducks and then drove there this morning to get a couple of female Pekin ducks!  Meet Neiva which means snow in Spanish and Elodie (Lodie for short) which means marshy white blossom in Greek.

Of all the wonderful names everyone came up with I think it was Deb that suggested a snow/white name so I Googled "words that mean white" and came up with Neiva and Elodie and considering that it has finally snowed here...I thought that was an appropriate way to go.

The boys were feeling left out and had to get in on the pictures lol!

This is as far out in the snow as anyone will go.

Does anyone has or know of a resource for some prim duck patterns?

If any of your craft stores still have Christmas merchandise...look for "snow blankets", I picked up some that I am going to use for backing on stitcheries but it could probably also be used for quilts.  What about the bags of fluffy "snow", I am going to use that for stuffing pillows and things.  At 90% of I paid .60 a bag!  Remember to look for the stuff without glitter.

Best go start some dinner...a meet tonight for J then Wednesday we have two, at least this time they are only halfway across the Earth from each other!

I hope to post again before the end of the week with a recipe or something fun and useful!

Oh, I could use a couple more people for my PIF!  Check out the requirements HERE if you are interested or curious.
