Swap Goodies and Exciting News

I recieved a treasure box from Margie at Hungry Hook Primitives for Amy's latest swap the other day!  WooHoo!  I love Margie's work and now I have some of it in my home!

Doesn't this pantry box look perfect in the pantry area in my dining room?

A wool hooked gingerbread man wall hanging, so fun!
I love to replace my regular pictures and wall hangings with Christmas/winter ones in December and the perfect hole was right here needing something!

This little salt glazed sponged plate fit in perfectly in Gram's corner cabinet where I put all og my seasonal pottery.

In Grandpa's shelf MY Elixer fit in perfectly!

I am not sure if this snowman and ginger will stay here or not...maybe in a diff. basket...hmmmm, but aren't they precious?

The camera didn't do these wool squares justice, but Margie and I both love burgundy or what some call barn red, colors along those lines...oooo, the possiblities!  After the holidays I will come up with something fun with this wonderful wool, I believe they call it an addiction this thing I have for wool.  Problem is I collect it and then get so attached that I don't want to use it...someday I will take a picture of my wool cabinet and you'll understand lol!

Thank you so much Margie, I had so much fun being you swap partner and getting to know you better and again thank you Amy for hosting!  If you would like to see what I sent Margie click HERE.

As if all those fun swap treasures was not exciting enough I have some wonderful happy news to share with all of you!

Remember last year when my uncle was very ill and I wasn't sure he was going to live and then I got a phone call and guess who was on the other end of the line?  If you are unfamiliar with the story click HERE. Well, guess what I am doing very soon?  I am standing up as a witness in a wedding, I am the only one invited, it will be my Uncle Fuzzy, Mary (Gram's former caregiver), the pastor and I.  The love story is amazing and the transformation in my uncle physically, emotionally...I thank Mary everytime I talk to her for what she has done for my uncle because I have never seen him so happy in all the time that I can remember, she just tells me that her family would say the same thing about her.  Tonight when he asked me to be there he also said "guess what I am doing tonight"  "I have no idea, you do all sorts of things lately that are so not the old you!" "You have to take a guess" "no idea" "we are going back to where Mary Beth grew up and going caroling" "who are you and what did you do with my uncle?!".  Never in a million years would I have guessed that was what he was going to do!  Mary just brings out the best in him and gets him out and doing things that he never would have done in the past, he is so bright eyed and bushy tailed around her and talkative (to people other than just me or his kids) and smiley and happy...I am just so happy, happy, happy!!!  I am sworn to secrecy on the date but after the fact I will share some pictures with you.  The strangest part is that when Mary came to start caring for my Grandmother 2 years ago I predicted this to her face the second night she was there, she reminded me so much of my uncle's wife that had pasted away 2 years prior and she and he had so much in common.  When I told him I had a feeling about all this 2 years ago he told me I was full of it so I told him "you go ask Mary, ask Mary what I said when she first came to care for Grandma"  and he did "you are just like your mother, she always knew things"...that's a huge compliment saying I am like my mom...she would be the one there if she were still on this Earth, and she will be there in spirit, watching out for her little brother just like she asked me to do before she left us.

OK, sorry I just turned happy into sad for some, but know that all is well and good!

I apologize for my absence lately, between all the wrestling meets and tournies, John's house (priming tomorrow after a tourny!), trying to keep up at home (I still have full boxes of Christmas decorations in my porch...I think I just need to put them in the attic and be happy with what I have done already),  running around to get things done for Gram's estate and the witch my aunt, making Christmas gifts, and sleeping I have about 2 extra minutes a day and it takes 3 for our computer to boot up!

Better get heading to bed, early morning tomorrow (any tourny day is!).

Love to all,
Kendra
