Swap With Shirlee and Garden Bench

Hello all, I found a few moments before I go out to mow and while I am eating lunch to do a post WooHoo!

I have a couple of things that I wanted to share with you the first being the treasure box that came for me yesterday (I had just gotten home from a day of running, running, running so this was a wonderful treat for me!).  Shirlee from The Easily Influenced Stitcher and I decided to do a swap together since she had missed out on the towel swap that I hosted in March (was that in March ladies?).  Well, if I didn't know better I would have thought that Shirlee was peeking in my windows with the treasures that she sent to me because she nailed everything right on the head, my taste exactly!  Now as you all know you rarely get  to see any pics of how nicely people wrap anything they send to me because I get to anxious to see what's inside (been that way since I was a kid)!

Thank you so much Shirlee, I love everything and have already found homes for it all!  To see what I sent Shirlee click HERE.

This morning a friend, Dorothy from Paws for Stitching came over and we made a garden bench from an old foot and head board that I had saved from the trash a couple of summers ago.  It turned out soooooo cute and sturdy too!  Now I just have to prime and paint it...then decide if it goes on the garden club sale or my yard, my non-for-profit heritage is telling me garden club my back and dry, dirty fingertips are telling me my yard.  I'll let you know which wins after Saturday (sale day).  Thank you so much Dorothy for spending one of your mornings off over here helping me!

I also made several planters for the sale.  Here are 2 of them.

And I made several barbed wire wreaths with barbed wire that runs along the top of the old farm fence that surrounds our yard.

Well ladies, I'd better go, I have another load waiting to get on the line and a tractor waiting for me to start mowing the hayfield, I mean lawn.  Last track meet tonight.  Tomorrow will be cleaning day otherwise I am worried that they will take my kids and condemn my house!

Love to all,
Kendra
