I had Michelle from Simple Pleasures as my partner for Tammy at A Primitive Place 's envelope swap. Now I will tell you that Michelle and I must both be rebels because we both sent small boxes...sometimes you just find so many treasures that your heart is leading you to bless someone with that you have to listen to it! Michelle lives in a town right over by my grandma's house and we have discussed for a while that we need to get together, we had hoped to get together to exchange but it didn't work out so we are planning to get together for the garage sales that her town is having in May...I can't wait, I'm wondering if I should bring my truck and trailer LOL!
Here is what she sent:
Michelle made the beautiful towel and the fun wax seasonal bowl fillers.
I love the tag, it will hang on the pie safe door!
This little piggy is going to join the sheep at the farm!
I love the wood plaque w/ the little sheepies jumping over the fence.
Michelle made the heart mug rugs that match the towel she made and also included some rag balls that match too!
They are perfect in my Americana family room...just off the kitchen!
Michelle posted a bunch of wax creations that she made a while back and I was blessed to get some of them! Grunged candles in sweet linen bags (love the heart bag). CJ also so got some treasures, a fun bandana (he's not going to get to wear it until after he has a bath and a h/c on Tuesday though!) and a monkey stuffed animal...sorry, he got it right away so no pic.
Oh, Michelle also sent a fun Garden Gifts book from The Gooseberry Patch series (love those books!). Sorry it's not in the pic...it was full of post it notes by the time I got the camera out!
Click here to go to Michelle's blog and see what I sent her.
Michelle did such a cute job of wrapping everything but as you have heard before, I can't wait to open things! Surprises and I are not a team. The other day the boys were talking about surprises and I shared with them that I had quite a gift for opening Christmas gifts before Christmas without my mother knowing when I was younger. I also found out that the boys were boys before they were born...couldn't wait, had to plan!
Then, Lori sent these treasures because she had my name for the towel swap that I hosted (it was a secret swap but I obviously knew who had me :). Lori was so generous and I love all of the treasures she blessed me with.
I love, love, love the stitching Lori did. These are perfect in my kitchen. Lori also sent a black and off-white star bowl filler, it will fill in a blank after all the Easter stuff comes down, prim perfect! The magnet she sent also touched my heart, the little sheepies are so sweet.
I can't thank these ladies enough for the blessings they bestowed upon me. I wasn't able to dec. and tweak with the treasures the way I wanted to last week but yesterday after I got the DR ceiling painted I got to play around and I was thinking about and praying for these sweet ladies the whole time. Thank you so much Michelle and Lori, I am so touched by your generousity.
Please let me know if you have not received your towel from the swap yet. There are two ladies that it may take a little longer for but I have let you know who you are.
Yesterday the boys mulched around the trees in the yard while Jene roto-tilled a goofy spot in the yard and reseeded it and then pulled out little self started saplings from around the yard.
The boys are on Spring Break this week and after staying up to late watching a movie with Jene last night the phone rang this morning at 6:45am, it was the roofing company that is doing the roof on The Stone House asking a few questions. I don't like people doing work when I am not there but we will be up there tomorrow night. Did any of that make sense? I think I just spoke in ramble.
This week some time I am going to try to share a few things that I have been working on with you so check back...not sure when it will be though. Today I have to go grocery shopping and meet the additional caregiver that we are considering hiring for Grandma and Hiney and I have a DR appt. after that. Tomorrow CJ goes to get a h/c...now that it is cooler, figures and I need to mow. I am going to try to post a before and after pic of CJ's new do, he is going to a new groomer, she is a devoted Christian woman here in town that my best friend told me about (they go to the same church), the name of her business is Praying Paws...I love that.
In closing a few pics from my world:
From the birthday luncheon last Wednesday:
Peach cobbler
Tomato, basil, and fresh mozzarella salad
Strawberry poppy seed salad
We also had ham, turkey, and cheese paninis.
The area up by The Stone House:
Should be little lambs very soon.
Buffalo Lake taken from the causeway.
The dam in Montello.
The boys love to fish here but they weren't biting this day. I usually sit and stitch while they fish.
Puppy sitting:
stuffed animal homicide...she seems pleased with herself though, no guilt LOL!
Better go and get my day started.
Love to all of you and thank you again, Michelle, Lori, and Tammy.

Hi Kendra,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you liked your goodies! I enjoyed making them for you and wasn't sure about your colors, so I'm glad they fit in. Who owns the sheep in the picture at Stone house, are they the neighbors? So, cute! Have a wonderful week and talk to you soon.
