Our Winner Announced!

Michelle from Simple Pleasures is our winner!  Michelle, please contact me with your address and I will get your treasures in the mail ASAP (It shouldn't take to long for it to get to you!  Michelle isn't to far away from me!).

I am always making references to Create and Decorate magazine, a wonderful prim craft magazine, so I wanted to give you a link for that so you can see for yourself what a treat it is to your creative side.  http://www.createanddecorate.com/
Plus I recently discovered another prim craft magazine, don't let the name fool you it is so much more than the name states, Primitive Quilts and Projects http://www.primitivequiltsandprojects.com/ again many wonderful prim craft ideas (both SIL's Christmas gifts are coming out of the Winter 2011 issue-including the not-so-prim SIL, I'll just change the fabric!).

Both boys did well last night at the meet and were well behaved on the bus (at least I didn't hear any different!).  When we got there J came over and showed us a nice shiner that he had gotten while playing basketball in gym yesterday.  An elbow to the eye.  Things like this don't even bother me anymore.  I have to tell you that both of Hiney's black eyes came from girls from the same family.  Right before his preschool pictures he came up behind my best friend when she was sweeping off her steps and she accidently got him with the end of the broom  handle.  Then a few years ago Hiney and my best friend's daughter were playing on the school playground and Hiney ran into her head and got a black eye.  I told him he needs to stay away from the woman in that family!  It's been a running joke since then.

Grandma's today, Jene wants me to go early so I can get back because we are supposed to get some bad weather this afternoon.  I am hoping to get the Christmas decorations in the attic this afternoon (I just got the trees undecorated last night, made me sad).  Is it wrong to have Valentine's decor and Christmas decor up at the same time?  If so please don't call the holiday decor police on me, we'll keep it our little secret, OK?
Dinner this evening...who knows.

My uncle called last night and sounds wonderful.  Such a delight to hear his clear voice.  he is doing well but says he is bored.  I asked what he wanted to be doing that he is not and he told me he'd like to be out and about, I told him to stay in it's too cold to be out and about!  Hopefully that will satisfy him for a while.

One more thing before I go to get on with my day.  Jene called me yesterday before he went out on his mail route to tell me that begining on the 28th he will start having every Saturday off work because they grew his route some.  I am so happy!  He has worked every other Saturday for three years now, the year prior to that he worked every Saturday (yuck).  Praise the Lord!

Please remember to be thankful for all of your blessings throughout your day.

Love to all and praising Him,
Kendra

  2. Oh dear Kendra - I have been so remiss in my blogging - I hope you will forgive my absence. I see I've missed bunches!! Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas - loved all your gifts. It's so fun when people understand what you love and try to find things you will truly enjoy. And your GW finds are great! I gave up completely on our thrift shops. The last time I went to one, the only thing remotely catching my eye was a vintage rolling pin. It wasn't "great" - and had some horrible sticky finish to it - and a price tag of $25. Yikes - I'm better off at the antique stores! Love the hearts you made - and am sure your lucky giveaway winner will be tickled "red" over her package. Congratulations Michelle! Have a wonderful weekend Kendra!! Hope I can get a handle on this "balance" thing sometime soon. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
